I was, for decades, a proud and dedicated conservative Republican- since Goldwater. Even Nixon couldn't change my mind. Trump makes Nixon look a schoolboy.
"I’m Sorry, But He’s Running" and he's losing. As more and more of his criminal actions become public knowledge his weaknesses and failures as POTUS will fade in the public's eyes. Fame grows with time but infamy also grows....
Desantis is conservative enough to attract conservatives of both parties but not extreme enough to repel other Americans.
2024 Presidential Election odds. Sportsbooks still believe that a red wave is about to hit America. Most would assume that means a resurgence for Donald Trump. However, sportsbooks have a different Republican in mind.
It’s interesting to see sportsbooks move to back Ron DeSantis. He’s a prime candidate for 2024 to be sure, but he’s also not guaranteed to win the reelection in Florida. If he can’t fend off either Charlie Crist or Nikki Fried in November then it’s going to be difficult to win the Republican nomination let alone the Presidential election. The polls say that’s a very real possibility, especially if Crist wins the Democratic nomination. Still, sportsbooks are giving DeSantis -1100 odds, or an implied 91.7% chance to win reelection. Are they overestimating DeSantis or are the polls underestimating him?
